It was in 1892 that the Wiggen family left Norwegian shores to carve out a new life in the United States. Then years later, the migration ended in the Ballard area of Seattle. In 1915, the firm that later became Wiggen & Sons was founded.
To the late Olaf A. Wiggen, patriarch of this early family, belongs the credit for establishing a mortuary and funeral home based upon old country values of integrity and personal service.
Olaf was an energetic and enthusiastic business "pioneer." He was also a family man who developed his firm as a family enterprise and whose sons eventually became an integral part of the firm. So it remains to this day, a Wiggen family endeavor, serving the community for three generations.
