  Craig Lohr
Funeral Director / Embalmer

Craig was born in 1966 at Maynard Hospital in Seattle. He grew up in the Bothell area and is a graduate of Bothell High. Also attended Shoreline Community College and graduated from Cypress Mortuary School of Science in Orange County 'The surf was great" he says.

Craig began working in the funeral industry at Evergreen-Washelli in 1988, went on to work at Wiggen & Sons in 1998, and has been with us ever since. Craig now resides in Bothell…and no, he doesn't live with his parents. He lives with his wife Kim and their son, Derek with another expected soon. Also, there is a half human - Frazier (dog).

When Craig is away from Wiggen & Sons he enjoys his family activities most of all. Always having been involved with music, he has been playing guitar for almost 30 years, and also plays keyboards. His favorite part of music is songwriting and music production. He also loves water skiing, football, baseball, and golf. He does a lot of yard work, but says, "It can't be a hobby because I hate it!" More than anything he says, "I seek laughter, it is the best medicine".

John Green
Funeral Director / Apprentice Embalmer

John was born in Flint, Michigan on January 17th (Benjamin Franklin's birthday). He received a B.A. from Mid-American Nazarene College, and a Master's from Nazarene Theological Seminary.

John was a local church pastor for over 30 years with the Free Methodist Church, in Kentucky, Iowa, Kansas and Washington. The last 13 years of pastoring was right here in Ballard. After retiring from full time ministry, John began working in the funeral industry at Bleitz Funeral Home in 1998, and was invited to join the Wiggen & Sons staff in October 2002. He is glad to be part of the funeral home team that he worked with in the community for so many years. John lives in Seattle with his wife of 36 years, Kay. They have two adult sons , "J.D." (John D., Jr.), Russell , who both live in Seattle, and their cat, Kitey.

When it is John's time off, he enjoys doing home improvement projects, raquetball, weight lifting (Olympic Athletic Club), touring with Kay on their 2001 Goldwing named "Blue". He also has been asked on a number of occasions to officiate weddings, funerals, and other life events. He still preaches on ocassion at some of the area churches.

Carol Sauers
Administrative Assistant

Carol was born in the rodeo town of Livingston, Montana on Dec. 29, 1951. She moved to Seattle at the age of two, where she grew up attending 13 different schools and graduated from Lincoln High School. Attended North Seattle Community College both after high school, and in more recent days, to update her computer skills.

Married in 1971, she is still honeymooning with her husband, Larry. Having raised 7 children together, they now have 11 grandchildren to enjoy and spoil. Two cats, "Baby" & "Babynose" dominate their home now.

Having worked with the Red Cross in her earlier days at N.W. Center for the Mentally Retarded, an interest in working with the disabled was born. For the last seven years, she has been involved as a teacher in a class of developmentally disabled adults at her church, Calvary Christian Assembly (formerly, Calvary Temple). Prior to that, Carol pioneered and developed children's church ministries in various churches, and worked to train others in that area. She enjoys using her "family" of people and animal puppets to teach and entertain.

Carol went to work outside the home at World Concern; an answering service; a microfilm company, then Calvary Temple. She came into the funeral industry in 1988, working for 13 years at Arthur A. Wright Funeral Home, then Evergreen-Washelli, and finally landed at Wiggen & Sons in July of 2000.

Clarence Leo Bishop
Everything & more

Clancy was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1935. Clancy is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University in 1963 and received his masters at University of Colorado in 1971. He was a music teacher with the Seattle Public Schools from 1963-1988. He was a Pastor for the Free Methodist Church in Ballard from 1989-1996. Clancy says, "everything in a way, does go full circle", he worked in funeral homes when he was "young" (late fifties), found himself working again at Wiggen & Sons Funeral Home in 1996 and has been with us since. Clancy is mister "Mr. Fix It"; if something's broken, he's got a hammer that will fix anything.

Clancy lives in Ballard with his wife of 46 years, Helen. He has a daughter Cindy who is a Veterinarian, and also teaches at Seattle Pacific University; sons R.W. and Brian who both own their own businesses.

Clancy say he has 3 hobbies, "1. work, 2. work, and 3. work." . That's all Clancy had left to say because he had some work to do.
